Approach
Jessica places strong emphasis on building a therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe to express themselves openly and honestly. She understands the value of hearing each person’s story and offers a non-judgmental space for reflection and self-exploration. Jessica believes in highlighting clients’ strengths and supporting their capacity for agency and change, offering practical coping strategies to help them navigate life’s challenges. She sees therapy as a collaborative process—one built on mutual respect, trust, and shared goals.
Her approach is integrative, flexible, and thoughtfully tailored to each individual’s life experiences and circumstances. Jessica believes that the way we see and treat ourselves deeply shapes how we experience the world. Through greater self-awareness and compassion, she supports clients in creating meaningful and lasting change across all areas of life.
Jessica draws on a range of evidence-based modalities in her clinical work, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Psychodynamic Therapy, and a trauma-informed approach. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, a highly effective method for processing trauma and supporting emotional healing. Her compassionate and grounded presence helps clients feel supported as they work toward clarity, resilience, and personal growth.
Finding the Right Fit
Content Mind recognises that finding the right therapist is one of the most important aspects of therapy. Research has shown the relationship between client and therapist is one of the strongest predictors of treatment outcomes. Finding the right ‘fit’ can also feel elusive to many clients. Part of Jessica’s process for new clients is to have a 10 minute phone call prior to any sessions to assess the client’s needs and if her style and approach will ‘fit’ the client.
There’s no commitment, pressure, or obligation.
“Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying lives.”
— Bessel Van Der Kolk
